ANNOUNCEMENT SHEET – Friday 21 April 2017

Today's Canteen Menu:

Starter:  Vegetable Soup

Main Course:  Fish, Peas & Chips; Jacket Potato & Filling; Sausage Roll; Turkey Burger, Beans & Chips.

LOCAL MOD COMPETITIONS:  Any pupil who would like to enter the local Mod should please call at the Music department today. Closing date is Thursday 27 April 2017. (Mrs M McLellan)

LEWIS YOUTH COUNCIL: The free Pound Fit Session with MBM Fitness scheduled for today has been cancelled due to instructor injury. (Chrissy, Lewis Youth Council)

ITALY TRIP JUNE 2018:  There is a limited number of places available on next year's trip to Italy. Would any pupil in S3-5 who would like to visit Rome and Sorrento in June 2018 please see Mrs Smith in Room 21 as soon as possible. (Mrs B Smith, PT Modern Languages)

HPV:  The final round of S2 Girls HPV inoculations will take place in the Drama Studio on Wednesday 26 April.  The timetable is displayed on the noticeboard along from the school office.  (Mrs F Cunningham, Depute Rector)

GAELIC CHOIR will meet on Wednesday 26 April at 3.35pm in Music department.  (Mrs M McLellan)

DUKE OF EDINBURGH'S AWARD DROP-IN SESSIONS:  Every Monday & Tuesday lunchtime in R17, from 1.15-1.45pm. This is open to all the new recruits on S3 & S4 who recently signed up at the S3 & S4 Assemblies.  These sessions are to help you get registered on eDofE and help with any queries you may have about your sections or about your Award in general.  These sessions will run until the end of April. (Mrs A Murray, DofE Co-ordinator)

D OF E EXPEDITION TRAINING:  Bronze – final training session is this afternoon (Friday 21st) as you will know. Meet at assembly hall at 2pm. There will also be a catch-up training session on Tuesday 25th April after school for those that did not attend the one on the final day of term. Meet in the canteen area. Remember you need to have completed at least 2 of these training sessions (ideally all 3) to be able to go on expedition this year. If you have not, or if your group haven't got enough people who have attended each, you will be taken off the list for this season – come and see Isi at drop-in or training sessions if you have any problems.

Gold – Isi will be available after school on Monday 24th April to help with route cards if needed, or you can call in to the drop-in. Remember I need these by the end of Thursday 27th April if you plan to go on expedition this term. (Isi Oakley)
